What are the terms of the Franchise Agreement

The franchise fee is a one-time payment of $20,000. The ongoing royalty fee is a flat fee based on the services you provide to your Client. The term of the contract is 10 years with options to renew.

Do I Get a discount when acquiring multiple units?

Yes, you will get a 50% discount for each additional unit purchased.

What does the Franchise Fee Cover?

The franchise fee earns you initial and on-site training, the right to use our signage and logos, site and layout assistance and approval, as well as our comprehensive operations manual.

What type of Trainings are offered?
  1. Management training:  It will take place at one of our Corporate locations for 2 days. You will work closely with a member of the Los Taxes Corporate Staff. The training fee is included in the franchise fee. You will be responsible for lodging, travel, and other personal costs;
  2. Tax Course:  It’s a mandatory 40 hours basic tax training for all tax preparers.  Additional cost applies;
  3. Los Taxes BootCamp: Two full days mandatory Business Management and Marketing for tax center owners, managers, tax preparers and staff. Additional fees applies.
  4. Practical webinars prior and during tax season.
Will Los Taxes assist in Site Selection?

We provide you with the site criteria you will base your site selection on. After you have a list of acceptable spaces, we will accompany you to perform site review and approval. With our years of knowledge, we consider whether the site location includes visibility, accessibility by car or public transportation, the size of the space and other related factors.

What if I don't have Tax Preparation Experience?

Although having a background in business and/or tax preparation is helpful, it is not required. Candidates with no prior experience are also welcome. You will develop the operational knowledge through our several training programs.

How will I acquire equipment and materials I need to open my Tax Center?

We will provide you with a list of equipment and other office items needed to open your business. You may choose your own vendors, but their products and service must meet our specifications and earn our approval.

What kind of Opening Support does Los Taxes provide?

An executive will be assigned to you for the plans to hold a successful grand opening. Once you are ready for business, your executive will make sure your Tax Center is set up, prepared to operate and ready for your local marketing and promotion.

Do you provide technical support during tax season?

Yes we do. We understand tax laws are very complex and you need assistance. Our technical support team will be available via office telephone, cellphone, texting, chatting, emails from 9:00am to 10:00pm during tax season. We will remotely provide support for assistance with tax questions and issues with the tax software.

Do you provide ongoing site visits and training?

We conduct quality assurance by sending one of our supervisors to your Tax Center. They may arrive unannounced and spend the day observing your operations. At the end of the observation the supervisor will submit a report to headquarters. We will use this report to provide you with constructive feedback.

Can I get financial assistance?

We have established relationships with several preferred lenders, including Small Business Administration (SBA) lenders that can assist you with all your financing needs – everything from supplies to working capital.

Los Taxes Franchise has been approved by the Franchise Registry program, which enables SBA loan applications to be rapidly processed.

How do I get a copy of the Los Taxes Franchise Disclosure Document?

You will receive an FDD after your first conversation or meeting with us following the submission of a complete application.
